As Buyer, you play a key role in the successful execution of complex technical projects. You are responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. In this role, you have a strong focus on quality, scheduling, and supplier collaboration to contribute to operational succes.
Your work as Buyer includes
- Procure materials and services for complex offshore energy projects;
- Optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness;
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and long-term partnership development;
- Coordinate and control delivery processes, ensuring timely receipt of goods and services;
- Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules related to procurement activities;
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, proactively proposing alternative solutions when needed;
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement with overall project goals;
- Report procurement status and challenges to the Procurement Manager and other stakeholders;
- Contribute to the company’s sustainability and innovation goals by supporting the delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient offshore solutions;
- Support continuous improvement within the Procurement team through knowledge sharing and process refinement;
As the Buyer,
- You have a bachelor degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar study;
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a procurement role;
- You have experience in contract management, cost efficiency, delivery scheduling, and quality assurance;
- You have affinity with sustainability and energy transitions;
- You have negotiation skills, a collaboration approach, and a proactive mindset;
- You are responsible, analytical, and a team player;
- You are fluent in the English language;
- You are eligible to work in the Netherlands;
