(Assistent) Project Manager Engineering

Manage the project's full journey from draft to delivery!

As a (Assistent) Project Manager Engineering, you’ll be steering a diverse engineering team and coordinating contributions from external partners to ensure consistency and technical excellence throughout the project. In this role, you’ll be responsible for guiding the project from early design through completion, aligning all efforts to meet deadlines, control costs, and uphold industry and safety standards while ensuring smooth communication across all involved parties.

 

Your work includes

  • Taking ownership of assigned projects to meet targets in planning, quality, and cost;
  • Managing all project aspects, defining scope, schedules, tracking progress, and reporting key milestones;
  • Making technical decisions and guiding engineers and/or suppliers in the team;
  • Coordinating information exchange among stakeholders across departments and sites;
  • Advising and aligning with the Project Manager on technical matters;
  • Resolving issues quickly to keep the project on schedule;
  • Ensuring compliance with standards and managing data/physical interfaces with suppliers;
  • Organizing and actively participating in project integration reviews;
  • Reviewing process documents, including planning updates, progress reports, and production summaries;
  • Participating in testing and validation phases such as HIL tests, HAT, and SAT.

 

As the project manager shipbuilding,​

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or another related technical study;
  • You have over 10 years of relevant experience in designing and engineering in shipbuilding and/or offshore projects; 
  • You have leadership skills, an eye for detail and precision, and the ability to work and solve problems under pressure;
  • You are quality-minded, proactive, and creative; 
  • You have excellent communication skills in the English language;
  • You have the willingness to travel for work; 
  • You are permitted to work in the Netherlands, either by an EU citizenship or a previously granted work-visa.
