This Mechanical Project Engineer is experienced in the yacht-building industry and passionate about superyachts. They will join and lead a discipline-specific engineering team and ensure the highest quality in designs and execution while working with various specialized professionals in the field.
Your work as mechanical project engineer includes:
- Leading and managing your engineering discipline;
- Ensuring the quality, budget control, and timely delivery of the project;
- Developing and overseeing the final designs, technical specifications, and 3D models;
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations;
- Acting as key technical expect and providing solutions for engineering challenges;
- Ensuring seamless interdisciplinary coordination;
- Collaborating with engineers from various specializations;
- Supervising and mentoring engineers, fostering professional growth, and maintaining high-quality engineering standards;
- Coordinating with stakeholders to align expectations, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize the manufacturability;
- Monitoring and enhancing the engineering processes to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the designs;
What you need as the mechanical project engineer:
- You have a bachelor's or a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar study;
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience as an engineer in the ship- or yacht-building industry;
- You have experience with managing a team;
- You have experience with or, at least knowledge of, 3D AutoCAD, Teancenter, and Cadmatic;
- You have an excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- You have knowledge of or experience with exterior engineering, moving equipment, and equipment integration;
- You have insight into cable and panel planning, systems on board, weight, and budgeting, and you have deep technical insight into yacht building and the production and construction processes;
- You are analytical, communicative, quality- and result-oriented.
