As the Engineer Shipbuilding, you'll collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Your role will contribute to standard vessel engineering and the development of new designs.
Your work includes
- Developing and reviewing designs, specifications, drawings, as well as stability calculations in accordance with standard regulations;
- Creating part and order lists while drafting technical specifications for procurement, ensuring the alignment with requirements and planning;
- Assisting in obtaining approvals from Class and National Authorities;
- Recording and organizing designs, drawings, and project-related documentation;
- Tracking, assessing, and reporting additional or reduced engineering hours;
- Ensuring the quality of your own work, aiming for error-free results;
The requirements
- You have a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or something similar;
- You have 3 to 5 years of working experience relevant to this role;
- You have experience with software packages like AutoCAD and/or Cadmatic-Hull;
- You are quality-conscious and accurate;
- You have excellent communication skills in the English language, both written and spoken;
- You are eligible to work in the Netherlands;
